Don Melo was born in Catania in 1964, along the slopes of the Etna volcano, where he spent his childhood before moving to Rome in 1983. Among the unforgettable memories of those times are bites of warm bread dipped in extra virgin olive oil, salt, and oregano. It is here, on the same black volcanic soil, that Biancolilla olive trees have been cultivated for centuries, producing what is now a true culinary excellence. Inspired by his personal experience, he came up with the idea of offering consumers this rare EVOO, crafted in a unique place: his native Sicily.
